quesiton on links
 

If I rename a directory or a workbook, are the links to other workbooks
automatically updated or does the path get corrupted?? I have a number of
workbooks that are linked and I want to duplicate the entire directory and
rename the main workbook. thanks in advance for your time and consideration
on this one. Jay

Make sure *all* the WBs are *open* at the time of the change.

That was it. although the workbooks were still linked to the original
workbook, all I did was open that one and "save as" into the new directory.
worked great. thanks again !!! I have to do this for 38 commodities, each
with 16 linked workbooks and then link those 38 workbooks into a master
workbook. wish me luck !!!! Jay
