I use Excel 2007 and save/use files in the older format and some files when
opened display the file name with a colon followed by a number at the end. For example, Sales.xls:1 and Sales.xls:2. Both files will open together and appear to be mirror images of each other. When data is changed in one I can go to the other and the data is there (I haven't saved the changes). Just wondering what this meant and how to make this stop happening. |
