whole number error?
When I enter a number higher than 155 into a particular cell, I receive a
message "must be a whole number", little message window with an X through a red circle. Don't know if its a custom message created by previous user or an excell error? How can I fix? |

Perhaps look at 'Conditional formatting' and clear out any condition that has
been placed on that cell. "Shane" wrote: When I enter a number higher than 155 into a particular cell, I receive a message "must be a whole number", little message window with an X through a red circle. Don't know if its a custom message created by previous user or an excell error? How can I fix? |

That sounds like a message from Data Validation applied to the cell.
Select the cell and click on Data | Validation then on the Clear All button. Hope this helps.
