Default Automatic Calculations to Default

Hi! I'm trying to find out how to change the options in my Excel to
automatically update caluations. At the moment they are always on manual
every time I open a new workbook!
I'm using Excel 2003, if someone could help that would be great! THANKS!

Sounds like the first workbook you open is setting them to manual. Do you
have a Personal.xls that is set to manual?
