How to recover spreadsheet lost when I exited instead of closed?
I worked on a spreadsheet for several hours and finally completed it. I had
four or five other spreadsheets open that I was cutting and pasting formulas from. I decided to close the others before I did a final review of my new spreadsheet. In closing the others, I hit close for a couple and then accidentally hit exit instead of close. Not thinking, when the box asking if I wanted to save changes came up I checked NO, because I did not want to save changes to the one sheet that was open in front of me. By going to exit, Excel closed completely. I tried to reopen my document, which was saved by name, but all I got was a blank spreadsheet. Is there anyway to get most or all of the lost spreadsheet back? |

If you never saved at all before closing with no changes, there is nothing to be
done. Start over. Gord Dibben MS Excel MVP On Tue, 1 Jul 2008 15:05:00 -0700, Troubled Texan <Troubled wrote: I worked on a spreadsheet for several hours and finally completed it.
