Hi everyone. I am havinga huge problem with excel. I am trying to copy data
from our retail system into an excel template I use for our sales tracking, however, when I go to paste the data it pastes all blank cells, then if i save it like this when i try to reopen the file it is all screwed up and the formatting and data are all wrong. It doesn't always do this, just at certain times, in certain spots. does anyone know how to fix this problem? -- JPF |

Without knowing what exactly you are copying, it is hard to tell.
If it pastes all blank cells, what data and formatting is there to become screwed up? How are you copying? What type of data? Where are you pasting? the data that i am pasting is sales info from our point of sales system. In
the system it pulls up the data i need, i export it to excel, then i copy it and paste it into the master template that i use for our sales tracking. The tracker template is what has all the formatting. What is happening is that when I try to paste the data into the template (and this only happens sometimes) it pastes the data as blank cells, it looks as though the data was pasted but the cells are empty. I usually will just close the spreadsheet if this happens but it will keep doing the same thing if I reopen the spreadsheet and try to paste in the same spot. However, if i save the workbook after the cells paste blank, when I try to reopen it i get a message that says that excel found unreadable content in the worksheet and if i open it anyways, all my formatting and numbers are scewed. -- JPF "Gord Dibben" wrote: Without knowing what exactly you are copying, it is hard to tell. Sounds to like the problem is at your POS end.
Rather than copy/paste can you rertrieve using DataImport External Data? Gord On Tue, 1 Jul 2008 13:25:02 -0700, Jami wrote: the data that i am pasting is sales info from our point of sales system.
