I exported our number inventory to excel and it didn't seperate the inventory
numbers and descriptions is there a way that I can do this? I need to
seperate at the dash between the description and part number.

From your example, it looks like you can easily use TTC (Text To Columns),
which leaves actual data in the columns and not formulas, which may have to
be removed later.

Select the data, then, from the Menu Bar:
<Data <Text To Columns <Fixed Width <Next

Move the break line(s) as needed, then
<Finish

make sure you have a blank columns next to the data. Select the data you
wish to separate and on the Data menu choose Text to columns. Choose the
Delimited option and click next. Place a check next to Other and type a dash
in the box - click Next. Unless you want to change the Data Format click
finish. This actually gives 3 an extra column because of the dash between the
two sets of part number. Simply align the numbers so they sit next to each
other and don't use a border line between them. Not perfect but it works.
However, I'll be checking your post to see if anyone has a more
straightforward way of doing it.

Sorry back again, just remembered that if you use the fixed width option it
works much better. Sorry I don't use that option very ofen.
