Text in a cell
 

I am putting a lot of text into a cell, but all of my text will not show.
The text is wrapped and I have clicked on Row Auto-fit, but I still cannot
see all of my text. I have even manually made the row bigger and it still
will not fit. Is there a certain character limit for a cell or is there
something else I'm just not doing?

hi
cells can contain 32736 characters but only 1024 show in the cell. the rest
show in the formula bar.
in excel help type the word specifications for specs and limits on your
version of excel.

As an addendum to FSt1's comment, you might be able to see more than 32,736
characters by inserting manual line breaks instead of having the cell word
wrap.

To insert a manual line break move to the position on the line where you
want to break to the next line and press <Alt + <Enter
