Functions in Name Box
Hi,
I'm a figure it out as you go user, however, I can't figure out how to reverse what I've done. Was happily working on my spreadheet and noticed that the namebox now has "timevalue" in it which is blocking me from using defined names. I have tried to change it to several other functions but essentially what I want is for it to be back to normal...which allowed me to do everything! Any help would be appreciated |

Hi Laurelle,
Not totally sure that I follow you but try, InsertNameDefine then click on "timevalue" then click Delete and OK out. HTH Martin "Laurelle" wrote in message ... I'm not sure how it's stopping you from using defined names, but you can delete
a name via: Insert|Name|define select the name to delete and click ok (xl2003 menus) Laurelle wrote: Hi, I'm a figure it out as you go user, however, I can't figure out how to reverse what I've done. Functions in Name Box
I have a list of defined name called CSA. Up untill this morning all I
needed to do was put =CSA in a cell and the name appeared and then extended down column as necessary. Now its says #VALUE!... How do I not have a specific function in the Name Box i.e. timevalue, as I am sure that this is what is causing the problem "Dave Peterson" wrote: I'm not sure how it's stopping you from using defined names, but you can delete a name via: Insert|Name|define select the name to delete and click ok (xl2003 menus) Laurelle wrote: Hi, I'm a figure it out as you go user, however, I can't figure out how to reverse what I've done. Is CSA a single cell?
If yes, what's in that cell? If no, how is CSA defined? How are you entering the formula? What's the address of the cell(s) getting the formula?
