Hello, I have imported into excel 2003 data from a database (file maker pro)
in csv format and one of the variables has 5 numerical values in one cell. How do I separate each number into five separate cells? Each number is separated by a symbol that looks like a rectangle standing on its narrow end rather than a comma, colon etc. I have tried to copy the symbol into the 'find' option with a view to using 'replace' to get a comma between the numbers and then maybe? there is a way to split them into separate cells, but the programme doesn't paste the symbol into the 'find' field (just blank). The ss has over 4000 rows and i really would not fancy doing this manually!!! many thanks for your help!!! |
