excel work book
 

when i open a work book another one opens with it they seem to be linked this
only happens on my computer none of my colagues have the problem how can i
brake the link the second book is an excel work book but it is from an other
program called scribus brochure.sla a program for making brochures can you
help

Excel will open any files(except *.xlt) it finds in your XLSTART folder or in
your Alternate Startup Folder found in ToolsOptionsGeneral.

Could the *.sla be in one of those folders?

Or is "sla" a typo and you meant "xla" which is an Add-in?

Hi gord thanks for the reply the *.sla is correct it is a program for doing
brochures that i opened while i was in excel i must have established a link
of some sort the xlstart folder has only a pdf file in to and the alternate
startup folder opens in s file called shared
