Exit Excel and then use Windows Explorer to go to C:\Documents and
Settings\<user name\Application Data\Microsoft\Excel Once there rename the file Excel11.xlb to Excel11.Bak. When you restart Excel your should get all the default menus and toolbars back. -- Jim "Ross" wrote in message ... |I am using microsoft excel 2003... Did you remember to look for hidden files in hidden folders?
If you can't find *.xlb using windows start button|Search, then you could use an old DOS command to search and delete them. Windows Start button|Run type: CMD (to get to the Command prompt) C: (to get to the C: drive--change this to the drive that excel is installed on) cd\ (to get to the root directory) dir *.xlb /s The /s says to search subfolders, too. Make a note of the locations of the found files and then delete those files. ============== Another alternative to try: Tools|Customize|Toolbars tab select "worksheet menu bar" click reset Ross wrote: Na maan....
