Errors on opening
 

I have two problems when opening .xls files.

1 when I double click a file excel starts but doesn't start to load the file
until I press the office button or restore down/minimize buttons. if excel is
already open it opens the file immediately but it should also do so when it's
not.

I have already tryed unticking Iignore other programmes using DDE" and
running excel /unregserver + excel regserver but it does not seem to help.

2 when I open .xls files the programm automatically resaves them maging them
appear "last modified" at the time of opening the file. I need this to go
away since it is important that files that I open for reading, not editing do
not appear reacently modified to my colligues.
