How do I repeat a format of 2 merged cells to a number of rows in.
I have merged 2 cells and want to apply the format to number of rows. When I
highlight the rows and click edit repeat format cells all of the rows are merged in to 1 cell. How do I apply merged cells format to individual rows without merging them in to 1 cell Thanks Tony |

In xl2003, I can add an icon to my favorite toolbar that merges cells on a row
by row basis. Tools|Customize|Commands tab|Format category Look for the "Merge Across" icon (about half way down the list) Then drag it to your favorite toolbar (or create a new toolbar and put it on that one). And after you have looked for and used the merge across feature, look for
nothing but problems with copying, pasting, sorting, filtering and a gaggle of others. Thanks Dave unfortunatley I am working on Excel 2002 at home, although I may

xl2002 has the same icon and it can be found in the same manner.
