automatically have cell change color when a number lower than n
Hello, I was wondering if there was a formula that would make the cell change
color if a number or percentage lower than a numebr I choose is in it. For example if I have a formul to calculate the percentages of say customers happy, can I make it automatically change ot yellow if the percentage drops below 80%? Thanks!! |

Use conditional formatting. Select all the cells you want to change to yellow
if <80%. Excel 2003: In the conditional formatting dialog, select the dropdown & choose Less Than, then enter .8. Click Format, click the Patterns Tab, select a yellow color. Excel 2007: Select the cells, from the Home tab click Conditional formatting/Highlight cell rules/ Less than. Then Enter .8 and if you like the choices given choose one of them, otherwise select Custom Format & proceed as in Excel 2003.
