Show Field List in Pivot not working

After I create a pivot and try to click the 'Show Field List' button, nothing
happens. The button does not respond. It is not grayed out or anything, it
looks like it should work but doesn't. Is there a VB code I can run that
will fix this?

Hi -

First, the obvious. Are you sure the button isn't working? Is the field list
somewhere else on yr. desktop - it doesn't have to be floating over the Excel
window.

I moved the 'PivotTable' button to the toolbar. It is there, I scroll over
it and it says 'Show Field List'. When I click on it, nothing happens.

Hi

What I meant was that the actual field list (not the pivot table toolbar)
might be "hiding" somewhere on yr. desktop - maybe under another app?

Here's a snippet of vba code that shows/hides the field list:

ActiveWorkbook.ShowPivotTableFieldList = True

ActiveWorkbook.ShowPivotTableFieldList = False

good luck

cheers,

I received from another user the answer:

Application.CommandBars("PivotTable Field List").Enabled=true
