Mouse is not letting go of a cell

I am having a problem now with Excel suddenly...when I open it up, if I click
on a cell it won't unclick (if I drag the mouse, it just keeps highlighting
wherever I am moving it). Clicking the mouse again, the normal way, won't do
anything.
