Count how long an event lasted
 

I have a project worksheet in excel which I use to track various jobs. These
jobs can be in different stages "waiting", "on hold", "in progress". I would
like to track how long the job code is in each of these status. I don't know
if excel can do this, but it would be helpful. Basically, I have a job
number i.e. 3.2 which is linked to a description, starting date and status.
I would like to have a list for each job for the number of days it was in
each status. Any help would be appreciated.
