Brayden

formula question

Is there any way to insert a formula that will automatically divide each cell
in a particular column against its corresponding cell in other column? I
have over 800 divisions per statistic and up to a dozen statistics on one
sheet, and would like to avoid typing in =h5/d5, s12/d12, etc. in every cell
if possible. It could take me months to enter all those values.

Maybe I worded that a bit incorrectly.

I want a cell, say the h column, from one row, say row 14, to be divided
against another cell in the same row, all the way down the page.

Sorry, I'm new at this.

You should just be able to drag down the column and excel will auto format
for you.
example; if the values to divide are in a1 and b1 and you want the division
in c1. In c1 type in =a1/b1 and hit enter.
Then just click on c1 and you should see a little cross in the lower corner
of the c1, click and hold on the cross and drag it down the column.

Good luck
