I am saving my TOAD query results in Excel spreadsheet format. However, when
I open the Excel file, all the numberic values are being stored as text. Is there a setting in Excel I need to change or is this originating from TOAD itself? Thanks =D |

hi
more than likely TOAD is doing it. It is not that uncommon for imported data to end up as text. some computer system sore numbers as text. I would investigate your sorce problem from that end. by default excel, ids numbers as numbers and text as text. what to do. enter a one in a cell off the the side. copy it. then high light your numbers as text and paste special - multiply. this should convert the numbers as text to numbers.
