can I open a excel file made on a XLcomp W/A vistacomp. MSWord?
Is there a way to open a excel file created on a computer running windows XP
on a computer running Vista? I get a message saying unknown format or something to that effect. Thank you in advance. |

It's got nothing to do with the operating system. Both XP and Vista can run
similar programs. There is a format difference between Excel 2007 and previous versions. Native Excel 2007 files have an .xlsx extension. If this is your problem, you can: 1. Do you have Excel installed on the computer with Vista?
The operating system has nothing to do with it.
