Inserting info in a drop down box
I have created a drop down list . the validation data cell and the original
values are in different sheets, but on the same wirkbook. If I try to type in new information that is not on the list it will give me an error message "The value you entered is not valid". Is there a way to manually inpu information in a drop down list? |

I'm not sure i understand your question, but if you get an error from putting in a value that is not on your list, then it sounds like you need to update your list. In the validation settings, set your source to your updated list. Hope that helps dk |
