filter range
I have ~300 rows of data in a worksheet that I have been able to auto filter.
Others are using this sheet and today when I got into it and try to use the auto filter function, it will apply the filter but in the drop down only let me select from less than half of my entries. Can I change the range the autofilter is selcting from? |

Has one of the "others" perhaps inserted a blank row half way down?
AF will select its range to first blank row. Gord Dibben MS Excel MVP On Fri, 16 May 2008 10:43:05 -0700, Tina wrote: I have ~300 rows of data in a worksheet that I have been able to auto filter. I'm having this kind of problem too. I have a worksheet with 66K+ rows of
data. I'm trying to apply auto-filter to one of my columns (which I triple-checked to have not skipped any blank row) and the drop-down only shows less than half of the choices available for my data. I know it's less than half because what I'm supposed to be choosing are dates (the column data is formatted in the same way). I can do a few run-arounds but this puzzles me. Any idea what this is? Is this a bug or a normal auto-filter range limitation? |
