Formatting Question
I have a sheet where the cells are fairly narrow so when more than a few characters are typed in, the text spills out into the next cells. Is there a way to "contain" the text to just the cell? I tried word wrap, but then it automatically readjusts the cell height to a very tall cell, which I would like not to happen either. Any suggestions are appreciated! |

The text will only spill over is there is nothing in the next cell. If
there is a space or even a single quote (ie ' ) then it will no do so. -- HTH Sandy In Perth, the ancient capital of Scotland and the crowning place of kings Replace @mailinator.com with @tiscali.co.uk "Matt" wrote in message ... Put your cursor up at the top of the column on the line dividing it from the
column immediately to its right. Left-click on the dividing line and drag the line to the left. This will make the column wider. Or you can just double click on that same divider and the column will automatically adjust to the size of the text or numbers in the cell. good luck.
