SUMS Do not match
 

I have a spreadsheet that totals many numbers in columns. Then the total for
each column is added to together to get "TOTAL". I also total on the right
side by totaling the SAME numbers by row. All the row numbers added together
and then a sum is listed by each of these columns. The numbers should add up
to the same amount but they do not. The sum of all the first columns is
19,220. The sum by adding the row totals is 19,246. There is a difference
of 26 and can not see any different numbers being calculated. I can send the
sheet to someone if you like.

Thanks Niek but these are all whole numbers (6, 12, 24, 10, 15, etc.)

Are you *sure* they are all whole numbers?

To find out, add a helper column. Use the formula =a1=int(a1). Adjust the
range to suit your situation.

If any of those turn up False, you have fractions in your numbers, which is
throwing off your total.
