Do I have to enter info in all cells in order to find duplications
I have a workbook in which I have been entering a "dummy" line so I am able
to see if there is any duplications is there a better way about going about this instead of wasting my time with this "dummy" line?? Do I have to enter info at all? Can i delete or add lines without messing up my formatting and drop downs? Any help would be appreciated.. Stephanie |

We can't see your formatting or the placement of dropdowns so hard to say if
deleting duplicates would "mess up" what you have. Do you just want to prevent duplicates or find the ones you may have and delete all but one of them? See Chip Pearson's site for preventing or flagging duplicates. http://www.cpearson.com/excel/NoDupEntry.aspx http://www.cpearson.com/excel/Duplicates.aspx Gord Dibben MS Excel MVP On Tue, 13 May 2008 13:04:00 -0700, StephanieIacono wrote: I have a workbook in which I have been entering a "dummy" line so I am able to see if there is any duplications is there a better way about going about this instead of wasting my time with this "dummy" line??
