worksheet calculating SLOW

I have a large worksheet and every small change with my button it takes
forever to calculate. Is this just because of the size of the worksheet or
any other reasons why it is slow or anything I can do to speed it up.

Also is Excel 2007 faster than 2003?

thanks,

Jase

How large is the spreadsheet? How many formulas does it have?

I realize this can lead to a "can of worms" by have you tried turning
automatic recalculation off? Be sure to turn it back on before saving or
printing.

There are some reports that Excel 2007 is slower than 2003. I work with
small spreadsheets and haven't noticed this effect.

Bill
