Default Prompt to save work isn't enough sometimes

User is hurried and busy, often closes entire EXCEL application, closing
*all* workbooks unintentially losing work in workbooks he didn't want to
close.

My suggestion to him was that we could create a wave file in his own voice
that say's "Don't do that" every time he hits the red X for the appication
(he suggested "Stop! You idiot!" for himself, lol)

The idea was that since the visual warning that pops up wasn't enough, an
auditory cue might get his attention.

1. I'm not sure if I can associate an audio wave file with the action of
closing EXCEL application - it must be possible though?!?

2 Is there another better way to put a stop gap or safe guard on this action
so that he doesn't lose more work?

Any and all suggestions, and comments welcome. Thanks

This is a fairly difficult procedure, to make it easier you can do without
the auditory business and just disable the red X forcing him to close down
'properly'. There is some code
hehttp://visualbasic.ittoolbox.com/gro...erform-1222514

as well as others if you google it. Also look into www.cpearson.com section
on application level events, that will show you where to put your code and
why.
