creating a proper text formula
I've created my own data source in Excel. The first 2 cells are mostly all
caps. I want to have them proper. I've formatted all the cells to general. I've tried all sorts of ways to enter a formula but nothing seems to work. I keep getting a "name?" error. Is there an easy way to change the text w/o retyping it. I'm beginning to think that might be easier. Thanks! |
creating a proper text formula
If you had told us what formula you were using, we might have been able to
tell you why you'd got the error, but you didn't so we can't. :-( If your formula is trying to use Excel worksheet functions, it is often worth looking in Excel help for those functions in case that gives you a clue on your error. As you are obviouslyu struggling with your questions today, you may be wise to read some of the advice for newcomers, such as: http://www.cpearson.com/excel/newposte.htm http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/posting.htm http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555375 -- David Biddulph "Olayah" wrote in message ... =PROPER(A1)
=PROPER(A2) Then copy those cells, paste values over A1 and A2, and delete the cells with the formulas. -- HTH, Bernie MS Excel MVP "Olayah" wrote in message ...
