Disabling Automatic Date Thing

When i type '5-10' for example, and then press enter or leave that box, the
'5-10' i typed automatically changes to '05-Oct'. It's really irritating and
it happens with others, such as '10-15', basically anything that looks like a
date.

How do I turn this off?

How do I turn this off?

Unfortunately, you can't.

What you can do is precede the entry with an apostrophe like: '5-10. The
apostrophe will not display in the cell.

Or, you can pre-format the cells as TEXT.
