Validation malfunction
 

I'm using Excel 2004 11.4.1 on Mac OSX 10.4.11. On a page with
several columns of cell validations, randomly, one cell will control
the input to a different cell or shows a double pull down arrow on the
right and will not clear or delete.

What's going on? Is there a fix for the software and the affected
files?
