Default Freeze panes

I'm working on an Excel spreadsheet which includes a number of drop down
lists. When I select freeze panes to prevent horizontal and vertical
movement the drop down list optins is no longer available. Is there a
solution/work around available?

You're still using xl97????

This bug/feature was fixed in xl2k.

The workaround is to remove the freeze panes.

Or make sure the dropdowns are below the Freeze line.

Or don't use Data|Validation.

Maybe use a dropdown from the Forms toolbar or a combobox from the control
toolbox toolbar.
