Cannot paste from one Excel file to another Excel file
Excel 2003 - Within the same file, I can copy/paste from any cell to any
other cell but I cannot copy/paste from one Excel file to another Excel file. The paste function in the menu is greyed out. Copy/paste from Excel to Work works and from Word to Excel. What can I do to solve this problem? Thank-you! |

Is this a problem with all Excel workbooks and worksheets?
Or just when pasting from bookA to bookB Or just when pasting to a particular sheet in bookB. What I'm trying to get at is............do you have some sort of protection on something that is preventing the paste. That is what usually "grays out" those commands. Gord Dibben MS Excel MVP. It seems to be with all Excel workbooks. I have started new workbooks and
cannot paste between them which is also the problem I am having with existing workbooks. I tried starting Excel in safe mode also.
