Did you get an answer for this? Sorry I can't help but I am having the same
issue and am about to start another project where i use this function about
150 times. My only solution so far was to e-mail the file someone who is not
on Excel 2007 and sit at their desk and complete my task, then send it back.

Make sure you haven't accidentally toggled your F Lock key (some keyboards have it, some don't).

Bernie, Thanks for the help, the shortcut still works in my case for some
things, such as inserting rows. However my problem is really sorting data.
When you repeat it sorts the same data you originally selected. I have
multiple groups of say 10-15 rows that i need to sort individually, but
always by the same column. Also on multiple sheet tabs. It was always really
easy to select the rows and set the sort function, then keep selecting the
rows and hit the F4 button to get through the data quickly. Any help is very
much appreciated.

Thanks

Seems this is a feature of 2007. Agree it is a complete pain that F4
has lost a lot of its former functionality. But it is so.
