linking to a bookmark in a Word doc
 

In the hyperlink dialog box, the bookmark button seems to be useless in Excel
2007. If I want to hyperlink an Excel 2007 cell to a bookmark in Word 2007, I
can navigate to the Word document but when I click on the bookmark button, I
get a pop-up box saying that XML docs do not support bookmarks. If I manually
add the bookmark (#bookmark),my bookmark works fine.

Two questions arise: If XML docs do not support bookmarks, why am I able to
manually add a bookmark to my hyperlink in Excel and if I am able to manually
add a bookmark to my hyperlink, why doesn't the button work? (It would be
nice if the bookmark button worked so that I could all the bookmarks in a
doc.)
