This formula =SUM(D4:INDEX(D:D,ROW()-1)) is not allowing me to edit
anything within the entire column due to this formula ="Cumulative Amount
Pledged @ "&TEXT(AA2,"MM/dd/yy"). I just would like to add 20 rows to the
data prior to the summation. Please advise

You need to spell this out in more detail. Where is the SUM formula, where
is the other formula?
What is 'not allowing' - expand. Do you mean the answers is wrong if you do
something?
