Hi,
I want to use some data from other excel files but each file gives different cell number each time so i don't know how to link the file... eg: ganga orders 55 (sometimes c15 , sometimes C21 like that) neworders 10 (sometimes c16 , sometimes C22 like that) and sometimes same as one file... Thank you |

Assign the same name to each of the cells in each of the workbooks and then
refer to the cell by its name. In each workbook go to the cell you want to name and click INSERT in the menu, select NAME/DEFINE and assign a meaningful name to the cell. Repeat the process for each workbook, repeating the same process and name one workbook at a time. When naming the cell the use the letters a to z or A to Z, the number 0 through 9 or the _ underscore. The name cannot be a cell reference (like AA2), cannot have any spaces and must start with a letter. -- Kevin Backmann "ganga" wrote: Hi, I want to use some data from other excel files but each file gives different cell number each time so i don't know how to link the file... eg: ganga orders 55 (sometimes c15 , sometimes C21 like that) neworders 10 (sometimes c16 , sometimes C22 like that) and sometimes same as one file...
