Excel 2007 getting error_Using text to column

Hi,

I am getting following error message when select 2 columns and click on Text
to Column in Data option:

'Microsoft office excel can convert only one column at a time. The range can
be many rows tall but no more than one column wide. Try again by selecting
cells in one column only.'

Please help...

You cannot use datatext to columns on more than one column

The answer, as the error message says, is to select only one column at a
time, but before you try to do the separation, make sure that you have at
least enough spare columns to the right of the one you are expanding to
contain however many columns the expansion will produce.

Not really necessary since you can enter the *exact* starting point of the
separation in the "Destination" box.
