An internet search on "file recovery" will yield many such programs and
services.

First thing you do is stop using your computer to enhance your opportunity to
recover data before it gets overwritten, if not overwritten already.

Use someone else's computer to explore for your options.

One more thought..are you on a network? Perhaps your IT prople backup every
day.

No. Sorry. Not without using some super-fancy schmancy recovery software
that usually costs a bundle.

I have just overwritten the only version of a 2MB file with a blank
spreadsheet? Can I retrieve the original *.xls file?
