Default "minimize multiple excel workbooks on windows taskbar"

I recently installed Internet Explorer 7 on my computer. Before installing
it, I was able to have multiple workbooks open and when minimized they
appeared on the windows taskbar. Now they are minimized in one workbook.
Any ideas on how to minimize them again on the windows taskbar. Operating
system is Windows XP and Excel 97.

I don't remember how to set it in the prehistoric XL 97, but try the same way
as in newer version:
Tools Options View, Windows in taskbar

If the workbooks are open in different instances of excel, you'll see this.

If the workbooks are open in the same instance, you'll see a single instance of
excel on the taskbar.

Unfortunately
tools Options View does not have a Windows in taskbar, any other ideas?
