Linking to worksheets from another workbook
Open both workbooks. In a cell of Workbook A, simply type an equal sign and
point to a cell in the appropriate worksheet of Workbook B, then hit enter. The syntax will write itself in the completed formula--one syntax for when both workbooks are open, a more complex syntax (with filepath added) for when Workbook B is closed. Generally speaking, I'm not sure why you'd have a need to write the syntax yourself from memory. Users typically click and point to have Excel create it and ensure there are no errors.
