Provide a feature to increase the number of columns in an Excel worksheet
beyond 256 to either a higher maximum like 512 or 1024 or unlimited.

Not possible, 256 is the max. If you want more, you need a re-design or
another product.

Then redesign it. 256 is too limiting.
