copy refered cells
Hi,
I'm bussy summarizing a whole bunch o claims for 4 similar projects, 36 claims x 4. Now I have cells refering for let say column A to claim 1 (=C:\long adress... claim 1, $D$49) Now when I copy (pull down) the reference excel doesn't automaticaly number up the claim from 1 to 36. Now I access everey cell and change the number by hand. Is there any way I can skip this and let excell do it for me. Have about 30 cells i refer to from the summary for each certificate and its frustrating to change it all by hand. Thanks Willem |

SHOUTING won't help.
The reason why you didn't get a reply to your original question is that people may have struggled to understand the syntax of the equation you quoted. But if you say you've got =C:\long adress... claim 1, $D$49 you might try changing it to =INDIRECT("C:\long adress... claim "&ROW(A1)&", $D$49" and pull that down. -- David Biddulph "willem" wrote in message ...
