CTRL X...CTRL V...Why does it NOT work?
In CellA1, I have 100
In Cell B1, I have =A1*2 A B 1 100 =A1*2 Question: WHY IF I "CUT" AND PASTE A NEW VALUE INTO A1, DOES THE ERROR, #REF!, in cell B1, OCCUR? Note: If I copy and paste, there is Not a problem. Only, when I cut and paste. Please explain? Thanks, FLKulchar |

"Cut" refers to totally "move" a cell to a new address and remove the former
one. So, when a cell is completely removed no reference can be made to the same as it no longer exists! -- Best Regards, FARAZ A. QURESHI "F. Similar example can be understood as a formula in B2 as "=B1" and then
completely deleting the row by: Alt+E, D, R, ENTER #Ref error would result because the former B1 no longer exists! -- Best Regards, FARAZ A.
