Formatting Pivot Tables
I have a pivot table, and I want to format the look of it. I want to make
the text bold in the columns and I also want to make those cells in the columns to be filled with a particular colour eg grey. The problem I have is that everytime I refresh the pivot table all changes that I made to formatting eg. Bold Text or Background Colours get wiped and the defaults are used. Is there anyway I can prevent this from happening because it is driving me nuts.... Thanks in advance. Simon |
Formatting Pivot Tables
Right click anywhere in your pivot table and then select Table Options.
Tick the box Preserve formatting "Simon" wrote: I have a pivot table, and I want to format the look of it. Yeah I've tried that. As soon as I refresh the table all my formatting is
replaced. Any other ideas? "Dennis" wrote: Right click anywhere in your pivot table and then select Table Options. The problem was with the type of pivot table format I was using, I changed
the type of pivot table format and selected one which was fairly plain, I was then able to make the necessary format changes and the pivot retained the changed I made even after refreshing.
