I have a long series of numbers which contains the asterisk symbol (*). How
can I remove this symbol from these many numbers?

Click Edit, Replace. leave "replace with" blank

What you forgot to say, Bob, was that the "Find what" should be ~*, in other
words a tilde in front of the asterisk.
