Restoring
Is there anyway to restore a change that was made in an Excel 97 database
after it has been saved? My step-dad was working with a worksheet for his job and changed something in the original database and it got saved and now he needs to restore it back. Is this possible? |

Is there a backup version anywhere?
Maybe in the recycle bin? Maybe in his email client's sent folder? Maybe on a co-worker's pc?? Any chance that the file was kept on a network drive that was backed up recently? If none exist, then he's out of luck? izmn19 wrote: Is there anyway to restore a change that was made in an Excel 97 database after it has been saved? Afraid it is not probible that you will recover it. Once a document is saved the original is change to the new. You will need to check all possible places for a back up copy, ie: was it emailed, saved on a mobile media (floppy, CD, Flashdrive/Thumb Drive), is there any backed up copies on another mahine. If all these answers are "no" then it is probibly gone! The lesson here is to always have a backed up copy somewhere!
