Hi,
I'm looking at someone else's spreadsheet and trying to work out what the formulas are doing. What I would like to do is to print out a range of cells with the cell ref in each cell so that I can write down what's happening where. Any suggestions would be brilliant -- Mifty |

You could press CTRL + ` (the accent key just below Esc key)
to toggle/switch to formulas view, then proceed further from there to resize col width/print etc (Press the combo again to switch back to normal) Another way to access it is via clicking: Tools Options View tab Check "Formulas" OK -- Max Singapore http://savefile.com/projects/236895 xdemechanik --- "Mifty" wrote: I'm looking at someone else's spreadsheet and trying to work out what the formulas are doing. Hi Max,
I've used John Walkenbach's PUPv6 Add in to list all the formulas so what I wanted to do next was VERY low tech and just print out a grid with cell references on so that I could add (in pencil) what each cell is doing. I've tried using the formula auditing thing tracing dependents etc but just getting confused. -- Mifty(not usually a pencil and paper gal) "Max" wrote: You could press CTRL + ` (the accent key just below Esc key) to toggle/switch to formulas view, then proceed further from there to resize col width/print etc (Press the combo again to switch back to normal) Another way to access it is via clicking: Tools Options View tab Check "Formulas" OK -- Max Singapore http://savefile.com/projects/236895 xdemechanik --- "Mifty" wrote: I'm looking at someone else's spreadsheet and trying to work out what the formulas are doing. Maybe try clicking File Page Setup Sheet tab
Check "Row and Col Headings" & "Gridlines" OK before printing the selected range/sheet -- Max Singapore http://savefile.com/projects/236895 xdemechanik --- "Mifty" wrote: Hi Max, I've used John Walkenbach's PUPv6 Add in to list all the formulas so what I wanted to do next was VERY low tech and just print out a grid with cell references on so that I could add (in pencil) what each cell is doing.
