File Conversion in Progress

I copied a file in to a new folder and somehow the type of file has changed.
Everytime I now save it takes a file and a pop-up states "File Conversion In
Progress". How do I revert it back to a normal file?

Just a guess...

Open the file, save as a normal workbook and delete the original?
