Default template
I have created a default template, BOOK.xlt with all the settings the way I
want them and placed it in folder XLSTART. However, when I start Excel, it automatically opens a new document called BOOK.xlt. I only want it to open a new document when I click the NEW icon or select NEW off the file menu. How can I stop opening a new document automatically. Of course, when I click the NEW button, I want the new document to be based on the default template |
Default template
Did you save the book.xlt as a template?
No chance that you saved a file as book.xlt.xls, is there? I'd use windows search to look for every book.xl* that I could find, too.
